Who would've thunk it?
After NBC pulled the plug on Gumby, the show's main character quietly retired to Fort Lauderdale and became a regular on the Southern music festival circuit, posing for pictures with fans.
At least that's what he told Crossfade when we bumped into the jolly green guy during Trombone Shorty's What Stage set at Bonnaroo 2013.
"I'm not even sweating," Gumby says. "I feel great. Everyone loves it."

In person (and on drugs), Gumby is far less clay-like than expected. Rather, the Art Clokey-conceived character wears a green polyester bodysuit that keeps him looking youthful.
Underneath his outfit, Gumby sports "a little pokey," he says, though we find that hard to believe. Clay or not, a horse can't fit there!
For many Bonnaroovians, Gumby is the only celebrity they'll meet in Manchester. And that's a big deal.
"If I met Paul McCartney, I guess that would top [meeting Gumby]," quips Debbie, a music fan from Tampa.
But it's unlikely she'll meet Sir Paul.
Unlike the other famous faces in attendance, Gumby is approachable and prefers general admission. He keeps it real, camping with the hippies in Tent City and shitting in Porta-Johns.
"I showed up in 2011 by myself," he says. "And I just happened to camp next to eight South Florida people. We come back every year."
See you in 2014, Gumby!
