As one of the five worst teams in the NBA, the Sacramento Kings would have virtually no shot of giving the Miami Heat a game even if LeBron James decided that he would rather stay home and catch up on his DVR recordings than go to work. That said, the Kings arent totally useless. In uniting point guard Tyreke Evans and center DeMarcus Cousins two supremely talented but notoriously immature, big-time youngsters the teams brass are staging something like a human version of the classic Mentos and Pepsi experiment. The duos explosive personalities have manifested themselves on the court as a mix of often spectacular basketball and brooding selfishness, both at the expense of basically everyone else on the team. Cousins, at six feet 11 inches and 275 pounds with a barely contained temper, seems to answer the question, What would it be like if a grizzly bear played basketball? For his part, Evans is as much a tumbling boulder as traditional point guard. The running soap opera will begin Tuesday night.
