Are You Ready for Some More Football?

If you play fantasy football, you know how quickly it spirals into a life obsession. Soon after starting, you need the other six days of the week, plus an unpaid intern, just to juggle all of your lineups. A sports technology company called Buzztime has taken note of the fantasy craze and capitalized by providing another weekly outlet for the stats-nerds among us: Buzztime’s Wednesday-Night Fantasy Football Draft. Here’s how it works: Go to Hurricane Grill (or another Buzztime location) by 5:30 p.m. this Wednesday and ensconce yourself at the bar with a beer and a plate of wings. Ask for a Buzztime “Playmaker,” choose a sports network and a fantasy football game, and then draft your team for the week. Because each week features an entirely new game, there’s no need to worry about Frank Gore’s ankle or Brian Westbrook’s hamstring; simply draft the best players for that particular week. After the games on Sunday, you’ll get a local and an international ranking and be registered for Buzztime’s weekly prize drawings. It’s free to sign up, and it sure beats depending on the Dolphins to win.
