Wynwood Life Festival Returns With a Who’s Who of Local DJs, Art, and More

With art and tunes galore, Wynwood Life has become quite the enjoyable circus.
What composes life in Wynwood? Art. Food. Fashion. Drinks. And music.

So why not have an annual festival that celebrates all these wonderful things and call it the Wynwood Life Festival? Perfecto!

The Wynwood Life street party is back for a seventh year, kicking off the afternoon of Friday, January 25, and running all weekend. Admission is free, and you can even RSVP for a free drink.

The celebration is curated by the locally grown event agency Swarm, which has partnered with the Wynwood Business Improvement District for this year’s affair.

“One of our goals for the festival is to draw in those people who have heard of Wynwood but haven’t experienced it,” Swarm's Nicole Noel-Morgan says. “So of course we want to bring in locals, but people from suburbia, parents, families, and college kids too.”

According to Noel-Morgan, last year’s fest drew over 30,000 attendees, and even more are expected for this round. One area of growth this year: the music.

“We’ll have the most extensive music lineup we’ve ever had,” she says. “We’re incorporating so many Wynwood businesses and venues and asking each of them to have one of their DJs perform a live set.”

Among the acts confirmed to perform are the Dirty Rabbit’s DJ EFX, Shots Miami’s DJ Erwin, Veza Sur Brewing Co.’s Tillery James, and the Deck’s DJ Ivan. Other artists will be announced closer to the date.

Of course, there will be heaps of new art and artists to enjoy. Notable experiences include a giant string installation by Crystal Gomez, a live painting of the Wynwood Cannons, and a body and glam art tent for guests to get all gussied up.

And this being Miami, suds will flow from the likes of local breweries Veza Sur, Concrete Beach, Wynwood Brewing, and J. Wakefield.

So go on and live your best (Wynwood) life.
