Tacos build strong bodies 12 different ways, and at Mercadito Taqueria Midtown, 12 different tacos have built up a nice little nest egg for Share Our Strength as part of the restaurant's Tacos for Strength benefit. Each month, the eatery gets a different chef to create a special taco for the benefit, and the 12th in the series belongs to DiLido Beach Club chef Andrew Balick, who for September came up with a braised lamb shank taco with curried Greek yogurt, pickled minted carrot salad, and crisp shoestring fries. Five percent of the proceeds go to SOS. Get there before the month is up, or you'll be SOL.
