Kick off Ball & Chain's new monthly live jazz series with WDNA 88.9 FM at this week's Jazz: Live at the Ball & Chain. Going down the last Thursday of every month, Miami's all-jazz radio station will be hosting a live broadcast from your favorite Calle Ocho hangout. Kicking off the series is saxophonist Mark Small, who will be joined by local musicians Nick Tannura, Cisco Dimas, Derek Fairholm, Eric England, and Aaron Glueckauf. The show will air from 7 to 8 p.m., so get there early!

Relive the drugs, sex, and rock 'n' roll of the '80s with Def Leppard at the BB&T Center. Joined by fellow hair metal bands Styx and Tesla, the English supergroup will have you rockin' like its 1988. Just don't forget to tease your hair and bring out your leather jacket.

Travel back in time to September 19, 1981, and revisit Simon & Garfunkel's Central Park reunion concert — which became the seventh-largest attended concert in history with over half-a-million attendees. Johnny Rodgers and Lee Lessack will be paying tribute to that memorable night, playing the original 21-song setlist that was performed by Simon & Garfunkel that evening.

Experience the sounds of the world without leaving Miami at this year's Miami Beach Jazz Festival. Bringing the jazzy sounds of Israel, Brazil, Latvia, and Austria to the Magic City, musicians from across the globe will top off the five-day fest — which includes a series of masterclasses and workshops — with a concert at the historic Olympia Theater in Downtown. Do yourself a favor and don't miss it.

Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike want to "take [you] to outer space." So if you want to join their stellar party at Icon Miami, you better be prepared for some intense g-forces. Last year, the party boys broke the record for selling out 40,000 tickets to their Bringing the Madness 3.0 shows at Belgium's most legendary venue, Sportpaleis Antwerpe, in under 40 minutes. We have a feeling their Magic City gig is going to be nothing short of legendary.

"Coming from a wild ménage à trois of Nuggets garage, Bay Area punk, and '50s pop groups," Shannon and the Clams, as pointed out by New Times, "inserts endless creativity into its formula thanks to a genuine love for the source material." Check them out for yourselves as the Oakland trio brings its self-described "weird stuff" to Churchill's this week.
