10. Scraping Teeth with Bad Dream House, B.C., Michelle Forever, Randy Piro, and Smut. Wednesday, December 16, 9 p.m. Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE 2nd Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com. Admission is free.

Only "the worst band in America" will pay you to see their show. No, really. Miami's Scraping Teeth was given the title by Spin Magazine back in 1993 during the publication's anti-talent search. Although over two decades have passed, the band — which consists of 305 noise guru, Rat Bastard — is still proud to be the worst. For that, they're rewarding their loyal fans a $1 off drink coupon to see their show at Churchill's this week.

9. Electric Piquete. Holiday party and Relay For Life benefit. Saturday, December 19, 7 p.m. Woody's West End Tavern, 600 Payne Dr., Miami Springs; 305-882-1170; woodyswestendtavern.com. Admission is free.

It's been one hell of a year for Electric Piquete. From being named Miami's best Latin band by us here at New Times to being introduced by Willy Chirino during their debut performance at the Hialeah Park Racing and Casino, los rumberos de la Ciudad que Progresa are celebrating the end of a kick-ass 2015 at Woody's West End Tavern.

8. Poplife Social: Kodiak Fur presented by PAMM Third Thursdays. Thursday, December 17, 6 to 10 p.m. Pérez Art Museum Miami, 1103 Biscayne Blvd., Miami; 305-375-3000; pamm.org. Tickets cost $16 plus fees via blackbaudhosting.com.

"Electronic. Booty. Makes you feel a type of way." That's the sound of the Magic City's four-piece electronic band, Kodiak Fur. While the band's music alone definitely makes us feel a type of way, it's Kodiak Fur's live shows that really make the group stand out. "Our live set is just something that changes, and it’s going to change again massively," KF's Christopher Thomas explained to New Times earlier this year. "We’ve got electronic and live elements, and we each switch on and off with a bunch of instruments." Sounds like the 305 will be in for a surprise during their show at PAMM this week.

7. Y100's Jingle Ball with the Weeknd, 5 Seconds of Summer, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Zedd, Shawn Mendes, Tove Lo, Charlie Puth, Hailee Steinfeld, R. City, Conrad Sewell, and DNCE. Presented by Capital One. Friday, December 18, 7:30 p.m. BB&T Center, 1 Panther Pkwy., Sunrise; 954-835-8000; thebbtcenter.com. Tickets cost $51 to $251 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.

Jingle your bells for Y100's Jingle Ball! Watch the Weeknd, 5 Seconds of Summer, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Zedd, and all of your favorite pop stars turn the BB&T Center into a winter wonderland as "Miami's number one hit music station" kicks off the holiday season with non-stop tunage.

6. Music On with Marco Carola and Bill Patrick. Thursday, December 19, 11 p.m. Story Nightclub, 136 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-538-2424; storymiami.com. Tickets cost $30 plus fees via flavorus.com. Ages 21 and up.

"I wanted to create something special," Italian-born DJ-producer and label magnate, Marco Carola told New Times just over a year ago about his Music On Ibiza residency. "With my partners, we created Music On around my vision — taking music seriously but having fun with it." Going on its second year in Miami, Music On is strictly "[focused] on the music," but with an extra dosage of fun, of course.

5. Cavity with Sloth, Zela Xaid, Other Body, and Trench. Presented by Alternative MIA and Breakeven Booking. Friday, December 18, 9 p.m. Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE 2nd Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com. Admission costs $10.

Get ready for a night of "feedback and distortion" as one of Miami's sludge and doom metal pioneers — who dominated the scene in the early '90s — tear up the stage at Churchill's. "I wanted to emphasize rawness, heavy guitars, feedback, and distortion," Cavity's Dan Gorostiaga told New Times earlier this year about the band's inception. "We just wanted to play slower, thicken our guitar sound, and use lots of feedback. That was our initial intention." See for yourself how Gorostiaga and Cavity's musical "intention" turned the band into hometown heros.

4. Matador with Archila and Dani Lehman. Presented by Humans Alike. Saturday, December 18, 11 p.m. Heart Nightclub, 50 NE 11th St., Miami; 305-912-3099; heartnightclub.com. Tickets cost $10 to $20 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up.

From Dublin to Miami, watch Minus Label DJ-producer Matador slash the dance floor at Heart. This former chef used to go straight from the kitchen to the studio, but now he's got all the time in the world to make you dance. .

3. Zedd with Dave Sol. Friday, December 18, 11 p.m. Story Nightclub, 136 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-538-2424; storymiami.com. Tickets cost $40 plus fees via flavorus.com. Ages 21 and up.

From his Jingle Ball performance at the BB&T Center in Sunrise to his very own weekend rager at Story Nightclub in South Beach, Zedd's definitely gonna be up all night this Friday. The least you can do is, well, "Stay the Night" with the DJ while he takes his beats from the 954 to the 305.

2. Jo Mersa Marley & Danay Suarez. Performing on the Fountain Terrace. Hosted by Lance-O. Presented by Hialeah Park Racing & Casino. Saturday, December 19, 9 p.m. Hialeah Park Race Track, 2200 E. 4th Ave., Hialeah; 305-885-8000; hialeahpark.com. Admission is free.

Hialeah's about to get a taste of reggae and hip-hop this weekend. Catch Bob Marley's grandson, Jo Mersa Marley, and Cuban hip-hop queen, Danay Suarez put on their first-ever gig at the Hialeah Park Race Track's Fountain Terrace. Part of the venue's recently-launched musical series, this week's show will surely appeal to a much younger and diverse crowd.
1. The Weeknd. Beauty Behind the Madness Tour with Travis Scott and Halsey. Saturday, December 19, 7:30 p.m. American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami; 786-777-1000; aaarena.com. Tickets cost $36.50 to $196 plus fees via ticketmaster.com.

Sure, you probably "Can't Feel [Your] Face" when you're with bae, but there definitely is Beauty Behind the Madness. Discover it for yourself as Canadian hip-hop wunderkind the Weeknd makes his solo headlining debut at the American Airlines Arena.
