Guests craving a true taste of Mexico can stop by the taqueria’s Coral Gables and Hallandale locations from 4 to 7 p.m. for two-for-one ice-cold beers, refreshing micheladas, and tacos al pastor created by chef David Muñoz. A Mexican staple, the pork or chicken tacos al pastor were the first choice for Wapo Taco when deciding happy-hour offerings. The classic al pastor is made by marinating meat in a mixture of dried chilies, spices, almonds, and achiote spice, slowly roasted and sabered from the spit grill into warm corn tortillas, topped with onion, cilantro, and juicy pineapple.
