French 75 Vintage Pop-Up Trunk Show at Regent Cocktail Club
If you want to start your weekend with a little cocktailing and shopping, head over to the Regent Cocktail Club this Friday, October 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. for the French75 trunk show. You'll be able to shop for vintage clothing. Need more incentive? Your first cocktail is free while you shop.

Total Wine Celebrates its South Beach Opening
Total Wine & More opened its South Beach mega-store at the Fifth & Alton shopping center (1139 Fifth St., Miami Beach) yesterday, but the celebrations continue all weekend. The store, which boasts over 14,000 wines and spirits, craft beers, and a growler-filling station, is hosting tastings all weekend by wine, beer, and spirits companies like Caymus, Belvedere, Hennessy, Alpine Brewing, Green Flash Brewing, and more. The action runs from Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18, and includes live music, giveaways, and tastings throughout the store.

Denny's Gets a Facelift
Denny's at 19313 S. Dixie Hwy. has gotten a complete remake, complete with an exclusive Miami mural, modern wall accents, and updated booths, chairs, and tables. The new-and-improved Denny's unveils its new look on Saturday, October 17, and is celebrating with a ton of giveaways and deals. From 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., the restaurant will give away hundreds of prizes including complimentary cups of Denny's coffee for one month. Denny's is also offering diner classics at reduced prices from $2.99 to 5.99. 

Grovetoberfest
This annual celebration of craft beer returns to Coconut Grove's Peacock Park on Saturday, October 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. Over 300 beers are offered for sampling, including rare brews. In addition, most local breweries are represented. Grovetoberfest also features cooking demos by South Florida's leading chefs, live music, and food vendors. Grovetoberfest also holds an annual home brew contest, where dozens of hopefuls submit their best efforts to be judged by a panel of professionals. Tickets range from $40 to $90, with many purchase levels offering early entry. Visit grovetoberfest.com for details.

Coconut Grove Seafood Festival
On Sunday, October 18, the Coconut Grove Seafood Festival at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove celebrates all things under the sea. From 11 a.m. to sundown, Miami's best seafood restaurants will bring in an array of shrimp, oysters, crawfish, lobster, fish, clams, and stone crab claws for your chow down pleasure. After you're done feasting, pick up some fresh seafood at the Casablanca Fish Market, set up on premises. You can also check out the Shipwrecked Oyster Lounge, where Lure Fishbar's chef John Iatrellis will shuck oysters and the Rum Line's Robert Ferrara will shake up cocktails. Izzy's Fish & Oyster Starts Rose Brunch
If you're jonesing for Tongue & Cheek's weekend brunch, have no fear. Chef Jamie DeRosa is starting a wicked good brunch every weekend at Izzy's Fish & Oyster. The brunch is offered Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes favorites like IPA battered fish & chips ($17), a Maine lobster roll ($26), and lobster benedict ($22). DeRosa will also offer stone crabs at brunch (MP) and bottomless rose for $25 per person.
