SunGhosts. With JBZ and Will Buck. Friday, October 2, 10 p.m. Bardot, 3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-576-7750; bardotmiami.com. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Miami's best band is also the 305's most positive musical collective. “What I love about music is being able to get a message out to a lot of people," singer/guitarist Nik Balseiro told New Times earlier this year. "SunGhosts tries to bring hope that people can take with them in their lives." And as the bearers of all things good, Balseiro and his crew will be filling our empty pockets with hope by putting on a free show this weekend at Bardot.

The Jesus and Mary Chain After Party. With Ordinary Boys, DJs Benton, Mikey, and Mixx Piggy. Friday, October 2, 10 p.m. Gramps, 176 NW 24th St., Miami; 305-699-2669; gramps.com. Ages 21 and up.

Get a double dose of Psychocandy at the Jesus and Mary Chain after party at Gramps. No, the noise-rock pioneers won't be partying it up in the 'Wood, but the Magic City's greatest Smiths and Morrissey tribute act around, Ordinary Boys, definitely will.

Brendan O'Hara's Late Night Radio Album Release Party. With the Rescue, Ted Zimmerman of the Spam Allstars. Helen Tess, and Jon Joiner and Mark Godwin of Stokeswood. Friday, October 2, 8 p.m. The Annex Wynwood, 44 NE 29th St., Miami; theannexwynwood.com. Admission is free with RSVP via eventbrite.com. Ages 21 and up.

Unleash all your "Bad Habits" as the 305's "modern-day troubadour" celebrates the release of his latest album, Late Night Radio. The musical madness starts at 8 p.m., but get there early for free bubbly, specialty cocktails by Afrohead Rums, brews by Concrete Beach, limited edition screen prints, menu specials, and more goodies.

Birdman's Clambake. Friday, October 2, 7 p.m. Sunset Tavern, 7232 SW 59th Ave., Miami; 305-665-9996; sunsettavernmiami.com. Admission is free. All ages.

There's nothing tastier than "Beer, Biscuits & Gravy" with Birdman's Clambake on a Friday night. Led by Sean "Birdman" Gould — the same man who met Eddie Vedder at Mac's Club Deuce 15 years ago and recorded a legendary jam session with the Pearl Jam rock star — you'll surely be treated to some good ol' rock 'n' roll.

El Tucán Grand Opening Weekend. With Freddie King, Puddles Pity Party, Chargeaux, Marlow Rosado, DJs Shamizo, and Discorocks. Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, 8 p.m. El Tucán, 1111 SW First Ave., Miami; 305-535-0065; eltucanmiami.com. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

The Magic City's newest party palace, El Tucán, promises to transport guests to a time when cabaret was king. And in true theatrics fashion, the Brickell hot spot will be celebrating its grand opening weekend with a variety of acts including New York's Freddie King, Grammy award-winning salsero, Marlow Rosado, and "the sad clown with the golden voice" himself, the nearly seven foot tall Puddles Pity Party.

In Flagranti vs. PBR Streetgang. With Laura of Miami. Friday, October 2, 10 p.m. The Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-456-5613; electricpicklemiami.com. Admission is free before midnight with RSVP via eventbrite.com.

When you're up against any sort of gang, even the PBR Streetgang, you know you better bring your A game. Luckily for In Flagranti, the duo "shimmers and glistens like a coked-up ice queen." The two will go head-to-head in the ultimate dance battle of all dance battles this weekend. See for yourself which group of badasses will win at the Pickle.

Hunters of the Alps. With DJs Pase Rock and Rob Riggs. Presented by Cherry Pop Saturdays. Saturday, October 3, 10 p.m. Sidebar, 337 SW 8th St., Miami; 786-703-6973; facebook.com/sidebarmiami. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Waste "Time" with Hunters of the Alps and dance till daybreak with all the party animals at Sidebar. Scheduled to perform at III Points next weekend, this will be your chance to see the Magic City's "indie/electronic/nu wave/dance" duo get pumped up for their big gig.

La Pachanga! On the Pineapple Stage with Tito Puente Jr. and DJ Danis La Clave. Saturday, October 3, 9:30 p.m. Ball & Chain, 1513 SW 8th St., Miami; 305-643-7820; ballandchainmiami.com. Admission is free. Ages 21 and up.

Conga line your way to la Pequeña Habana and do ¡la pachanga! with Tito Puento Jr. y todos los salseros at the classic Ball & Chain. As the son of mambo legend Tito Puento, you know Jr. has that ritmo running through his blood.

Dude Skywalker. Extended set. Saturday, October 3, 10 p.m. Bardot, 3456 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-576-7750; bardotmiami.com. Admission is free before 1 a.m. with RSVP via eventbrite.com. Ages 21 and up.

Put on your dance boots and start hydrating because Dude Skywalker is going to attempt a marathon eight-hour "underground love affair" at 3456 North Miami Avenue. May the force be with him.

Miami Flea. With music by Keith Johns, Ella Herrera, Rose Max, and Sofy and Andres of Elastic Bond. Sunday, October 4, 3 to 7 p.m. Canvas Miami, 90 NE 17th St., Miami; 305-625-0949. Admission is free with RSVP via eventbrite.com

The Magic City is filled with hidden treasures — all you have to do is find them. And at the Miami Flea, you'll find it all: artisan goods, tasty food trucks, literary masterpieces from Bookleggers Library, live art from the Bakehouse Art pop-up, live tuneage, and in the spirit of next weekend's III Points Fest, a vinyl station. Celebrating the start of October, this month's Miami Flea will also feature a pumpkin patch by Urban Oasis Project. Well hey there, fall! We've been waiting for you!
