Yesterday, Bryan Aneiros was in the midst of a Kendall crime spree. He was going car to car in the area of Southwest 113th Avenue and 43rd Lane taking items out of unlocked vehicles. At about 3 a.m. a Good Samaritan spotted him and called 911 to report the crime spree. Aneiros was jailed and later admitted to the burglaries. About $5,000 worth of property was recovered.

Well, Aneiros bonded out of jail early this morning. About two hours later someone through a Molotov cocktail at the home of the man who had called 911. Coincidence? Miami-Dade Police have a hunch that it's not.

According to CBS Miami, Billy Franco was the man responsible for the 911 call, and he wasn't shy about letting people know. He appeared on camera talking about the incident on CBS4. Other neighbors hailed him as a hero.

Aneiros bond was set at $15,000 and got out at 3:05 a.m. this morning. Two-and-half hours later, Franco's home was firebombed.

Thankfully, no one was home. (Franco was out working at a construction job in Key West.) Firefighters were able to put the fire out while it was still contained to the front porch.

Police, however, have not yet confirmed that there's a connection.
