3.Black & Blue Burger at Damn Good Burger
Miami's been hit with a rash of burger restaurants lately. Some may blame the economy with the success of the burger. After all, a premium burger is still within the means of most Miamians, whereas a premium steak can mean plunking down a car payment in some parts of South Beach.
Or, it could mean we love burgers.
In any event, DGB (Damn Good Burger), a newbie on the scene, stole our hearts with the Black & Blue Burger. A patty, made from a blend of black Angus, chuck, short rib and brisket, comes charred on the outside, pink and moist on the inside. It's placed lovingly on a toasted brioche (complete with DGB logo branded onto the bun) before being topped with just the right amount of blue cheese and three strips of peppered bacon.
The bacon most resembles a juicy pastrami -- tangy, spicy and slightly salty. The combination of the fragrant bacon, rich charred meat and blue cheese turns every bite into a blessing from the hamburger gods as you cry out "damn, that's a good burger".
The burger is $6.70. Pair it with a craft beer and sweet potato fries for an additional $6.15 to make a meal.
