MC Kitchen is hosting a rare Dogfish Head beer dinner next Thursday with brewery founder and president Sam Calagione.
The event is a unique beer fete. Why?Because not only will there be extremely limited suds, but Calagione just doesn't do beer dinners that often. In fact, hardly ever, says MC Kitchen's Dena Marino.

Although Calagione is not that out-of-reach for a brewery owner, the dinner is considered a once-in-a-lifetime event considering he is almost constantly on the road promoting his brew.
The DFH beers available that night are 2010 Burton Baton (draft), 2014 Festina Lente (draft), 2012 Black & Blue (draft), 2007 World Wide Stout (bottles) and 2007 120 Minute IPA (bottles).
What will be on the menu, however, is a bit more secret. Marino wants to conceal what exactly will be paired with the DFH beers until the day of or the day before the event because she wants to keep it special, although she will keep specific food allergies in mind and may try to accommodate them. The dinner will be at least four courses, Marino said.
Marino said that Calagione reached out to MC Kitchen to create the dinner.
After dining on fine Italian cuisine and craft brews, everyone will be able to join Marino and Calagione on the patio for a little intimate conversation and some after dinner stogies provided by Alec Bradley Company.
The dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. It costs $175 per person plus tax and gratuity and seating is extremely limited. To make a reservation, call 305-456-9948.
