Get ready, Hialeah, because at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, the "Hot Now" light turns on at the opening of the new Krispy Kreme shop in Hialeah.
The bakery, located at 1597 W 49th St., will celebrate its grand opening with some great freebies - including free doughnuts for a year!

The first 100 customers will receive free doughnuts. The first customer in the shop will receive free doughnuts for a year (which equates to one free dozen original glazed doughnuts per week for a year). The next 99 people in line will receive one free dozen doughnuts per month for a year, and the first 150 people will receive a souvenir T-shirt.
According to Marilana Lococo, who co-owns seven Krispy Kremes in South Florida with her family, including the new Hialeah location, you should plan to get there really early to claim your prizes. "We will have customers lining up at the store on Monday evening to try and win the free doughnuts and T-shirts."
And, if you love Krispy Kreme's warm, sweet doughnuts, why not make a career out of it?
Krispy Kreme is hosting a job fair today and tomorrow, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Ramada Inn, located at 1950 W. 49th St., between SR 826 and 103rd St.
Candidates must be at least 18 and have previous experience in the hospitality industry to include fast food, manufacturing, and/or baking. You should also be available to work weekends and be able to pass a pre-employment background check. The company is looking to hire 75-80 people in retail, production, and shift supervisors.
Although being a team player and fast learner is important, Krispy Kreme is also looking for people who genuinely love the doughnuts and want to share that love with the guests that come through the doors. Marialana Lococo says that she's looking for people who can "create a magic moment" for customers. "Everyone has a story about the first time they had a magic moment eating a Krispy Kreme. About the first time they tasted one of our warm, fresh glazed."
Krispy Kreme opens September 23 at 6 a.m. After that, the shop will be open 24/7.
