All this talk of politics and debates gives us really bad heartburn.

Sometimes we feel like Miss America, for whom the correct answer to everything is "world peace."

Anyway, what also gives us heartburn is wine -- except wine is totally worth it. And thanks to Miami's best eats and drinks this weekend, Short Order has plenty o' wine to go around twice.

Let's kick back and relax this weekend. We all deserve it.

Wine & Fashion Florence Week: You see, the nice thing about spending your Friday evening drinking wine is that you're spending your Friday evening drink wine. Toscana Divino has a nice little setup, and it meshes Italian wines, Italian fashion, Italian art, and Italian food. Give us one good reason why this is not the way to spend a Friday evening... Yeah, we thought so.

Grovetoberfest: Of course, if wine isn't your thing, surely, beer is. Oktoberfest is in full swing around town, and though our city may not be famous for the biggest Deutsch bier bashes, we still get an "A" for effort. Grovetoberfest is awesome, though, and because it's only in its second year, that's all the more reason to get in on the action while the beer fest is still young and ripe.

Food Truck Roundup at Art Walk: Like every month, Wynwood's Second Saturday Art Walk is rolling around tomorrow for our hipster pleasure. And rolling along with it are Miami's food trucks, offering the tastiest mobile bites in town. Go ahead and take advantage of all the goodies -- you'll have all day Sunday to work off the fat.

Oriente at the Van Dyke Café: The Afro-Cuban band that Miami knows and loves will play at the Van Dyke Sunday night. It's an optimal opportunity to grab a burger, some beer, and wait for the show to start. (We know, we suggested you work off Second Saturday's gluttony on Sunday, but this is a food blog, so whatever.)
