Paul McCartney, once member of the most famous rock band in history, has taken a wife for the third time.
The ex-Beatle turned vegan is a known animal-rights activist. His first wife Linda McCartney started a line of meat-free foods. The line, Linda McCartney Foods, was purchased in 2006 by Hain Foods and is available at most supermarkets.
McCartney met American Nancy Shevell from New Jersey back in 2008. We were sure it was love at first sight. After, all, McCartney is still the cute Beatle. One small thing, however, stood in the path of true love -- like most Americans, Shevell liked her meat. But, according to sources, Shevell turned vegetarian shortly after the couple started dating in order to be with McCartney. That's love.
The couple wed yesterday in Old Marleybone Town Hall in London, where
McCartney married wife Linda 42 years earlier. The bride wore vegan
shoes designed by Paul's daughter Stella McCartney.
They then
hosted an intimate three-course vegan dinner with two cakes (one
chocolate and one vegan) at McCartney's home. Guests included Ringo
Starr and wife Barbara Bach, George Harrison's widow Olivia and Barbara
Walters, according to The London Telegraph.
