Love & Vegetables' vegan dinners are back for the upcoming season. But changes abound for the pay-what-you-can café hosted by chefs Keith Kalmanowicz and Avril Johnnidis.

On September 23, the duo will welcome a special co-host: Sam Gorenstein, the chef and owner of My Ceviche. Gorenstein, formerly of BLT Steak in South Beach, will cook an elaborate vegan meal alongside the pair.

This won't be the first time the men spend time together in the kitchen. Kalmanowicz worked under Gorenstein at BLT Steak before moving on to Michael's Genuine Food & Drink. "I've been in a kitchen with Sam before and I know we can serve up a killer dinner together!" says Kalmanowicz.

Scheduled to take place at Earth N' Us Farm in Little Haiti, the dinner will begin with a tour led by Ray Chasser -- the farm's founder -- at 6:30 p.m. The eating starts at 7:30 p.m. and will feature six courses including one dessert. The exact menu will be announced two weeks prior to the event. Alcohol will not be served at the dinner, but guests are welcome to bring their own.

As customary, Love & Vegetables suggests a donation of $35 per person. The pop-up café also accepts a limited amount of volunteers who can help out -- by clearing plates, doing dishes, or setting-up -- in exchange for the meal.

The duo aspires to extend beyond the pop-up model soon. Kalmanowicz and Johnnidis recently launched a Rally page, hoping to raise funds for the organization's development. The twosome hopes to debut a permanent pay-what-you-can café next year.

Love & Vegetables' dinner with Sam Gorenstein will be on Monday, September 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. To RSVP, click here.
