There are lots of disadvantages to being a woman: getting paid less, bearing children (OK, that one's not all bad), and peeing sitting down. It's a rough life. Given this state of affairs, drinking for free is the least the fairer sex deserves.
Luckily, lots of places in Miami bow to the feminine mystique by offering free booze. For ladies, it's a wallet-friendly way to hit the town, and for dudes -- well, ladies' nights are chock full of females. Incentive enough.
So in the name of girl power, Short Order has compiled the best ladies' nights across the city where chicks can drink free, gratis, no dinero required. Just don't forget to tip your bartender.
Tuesday: Early in the week, it's all about midtown's hipsterific music venue/bar, Ricochet. At "Camp Ricochet," chicks drink free from 10 p.m. till close. Choices include free house liquors as well as a beer option. There's also a live band, trivia games, and free pizza. Score.
Wednesday: Hump day belongs to Miami Beach's fave side-by-side siblings, Lost Weekend and Kill Your Idol. Ladies' night kicks off at 10 p.m. and runs till 3 a.m. at both venues. Upon entrance, chicks score six drink tickets good for any domestic draft beer or house liquor.
Thursday: Ladies drink free house booze and Miller Light drafts from 9 to 11 p.m. at breezy Berries in the Grove. A little farther south, Bougainvillea's Old Florida Tavern offers free house vodka, rum, and Bud Light drafts from 10 p.m. till midnight, and live tunes to boot.
Friday: To kick off the weekend, Yardbird Southern Table & Bar now serves select free bourbon cocktails to the ladies from 4 to 7 p.m. (in September only). Free snacks too (for both sexes)! The Bar in Coral Gables offers free house booze and Yuengling for women from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
With all these freebies floating around, there's no excuse for not making the most of those feminine wiles.
