What'll be keeping you warm on Valentine's Day?
Your booze.

Who'll be keeping you company?
Your single friends and half-empty glasses of alcohol.

Why not enjoy the miserable holiday by guzzling a beverage with both a killer name and taste? Hot Mess (what you'll look like after several of these) was created by Clark Clarke of the W Hotel South Beach's Living Room using Tequila Avión. He  makes this treat for lonely gals. The well-balanced drink showcases spicy hot sauce, peppery tequila, and sweet passion fruit puree.

You can make your own Hot Mess at home or maybe a Flying Aphrodite or a Who Needs Him, all perfect for the lonely ladies on February 14. Check out the recipes after the jump.

Hot Mess (at W Hotel South Beach)

2 oz Tequila Avión Reposado
½ oz Cherry Heering
1 ¼ oz Passion Fruit Puree
¾ oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
¾ oz Simple Syrup
Cucumber Wheel
Dash of Sriracha Hot Sauce

Add ice, Tequila Avión Reposado, Cherry Heering, passion fruit puree, lime juice, simple syrup and shake. Strain over ice in a rocks glass. Float a cucumber wheel horizontally on the cocktail and add a dash of Sriracha hot sauce on top of the cucumber.

Flying Aphrodite

2 oz. Avión Tequila Reposado
1.5 oz. rose water (use Monin Rose Syrup mixed with water as alternate)
1 oz. prickly pear juice
1/4 oz. fresh lemon juice

Shake all ingredients over ice, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a crimson rose petal and fresh strawberry.

Who Needs Him

1 ½ oz. Tequila Avión Reposado
1 oz. Domaine de Canton
2 oz. Fresh Sour Mix

In a shaker, muddle one piece of fresh ginger. Add ice and all ingredients. Shake and strain over fresh ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a lime twist.
