Most of us become quite beastly when it comes to munching on burgers, and tomorrow's third annual Burgerliscious event in Coral Gables is a prime example of our transformation from human to animal.

General admission ticket ($60) holders are entitled to six sliders and two beers, while VIP attendees ($125) can indulge as much as they'd like.

We suggest VIP for two major reasons: early admission and unlimited beer.

Over twenty Coral Gables restaurants will be putting their best food forward, hoping that attendees will find their burger the best of the bunch. Participants include Swine Southern Table & Bar, Eating House, Pincho Factory, Shake Shack, and Christy's Steakhouse. With early admission, you can hit all the top spots first and then make your way to all the less-crowded tables.

There'll be a Sam Adams beer tent providing most of the company's products, including lagers, ales, and wheat beers. We're hoping they'll also have their Apple Orchard Cider available, which slides down your throat perfectly after a juicy, beef slider.

Your non-meat eating friends will have plenty of other options, mostly of the fish or vegetable variety, so don't feel guilty about making them accompany you to your chowdown.

Burgerlicious takes place on Thursday, November 7, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Fred B. Hartnett Ponce Circle Park. General admission tickets cost $60 and VIP tickets cost $125 and include a commemorative beer stein. Visit burgerliscious.com for more information.
