Biscayne Bay Brewing Company is officially open for production and its first kegs are shipping out today to three locations throughout Miami-Dade County.
The inaugural kegs will be delivered to Rok:Brgr, the Butcher Shop, and Taurus. The tappings will begin at each location at noon, 5, and 9 p.m., respectively. The kegs will be BBBC's flagship brews: 1513.MDXIII Golden Ale, Miami Pale Ale, and Biscayne Bay Saison.

This is a soft launch which occur all throughout the month of September. A big launch event for the brand will occur early October, says co-owner Gus Chacon.
The distributor for Biscayne Bay Brewing is Gold Coast Beverage. The distribution list includes at least 15 accounts across Miami-Dade and one or two in the Florida Keys, says Chacon.
"We're trying to keep it Miami-Dade exclusively," Chacon said earlier this month.
Biscayne Bay Brewing Company is the county's second production brewery to open this year and the second to open in Doral. The other, MIA Brewing Company, started operation in July and is located about three miles away.

The brewery was originally going to be housed on Eighth Street in heart of Little Havana but was relocated to Doral because of the former turned out to be too small at approximately 5,000 square feet. The reason it moved, according to co-owner Jose Mallea, is because of the possibility of expansion.
"That's the key to this business," Mallea said. "To meet demand."
Mallea was a former partner in ownership at the Local Craft Food and Drink, a craft beer bar in Coral Gables, but he sold his share prior to opening his brewery. The sale was required due to the state's three-tier system that prohibits an alcohol-maker to own a stake in a retail which sells its product.
The brewery contains a 15-barrel system and Chacon hopes the brewery to produce about 500 more barrels, or 15,750 gallons, for the rest of the year.
