Last week, Stoli unveiled it's latest high-end vodka line to a crowd of eager locals at Biscayne Boulevard hotspot City Hall. The event was a joint collaboration between mixologist Gil Lopez and chef Luis Lopez Jr. Together they planned a menu that combined the tasty offering City Hall is known for, with cocktails infused with this ultra-premium spirit.

So how great is Elit? This year the Beverage Tasting Institute, an independent agency that rates wines and spirits on various characteristics like taste, finish, texture, etc., named Elit the Best Clear Spirit, the highest platinum rating. Unlike other vodkas on the market, Elit is filtered five times, ensuring a low methanol content (the toxic chemical in alcohol that causes hangovers). Not only does it taste great, but it will leave you feeling fresh the next morning. But enough about booze, let's talk about the grub.

The first course was a amuse-bouche of white sturgeon caviar, paired with a straight shot of chilled elit.

Next came a watermelon salad, with feta cheese, basil and prosciutto. This course was paired with a very dirty elit martini served with a goat cheese-stuffed olive.

On to the seafood course: a whole lobster tail, served in shell, with sautéed frutti di mare. The dish was expertly paired with an Elit bloody mary so good it'll convert clamato haters into ardent fans.

The next course was an ode to Miami. Roasted pulled pork marinated in mojo, served over potato cakes and grilled tomato. The cocktail for this course was a mix of elit with zesty orange, homemade foam, and a mojo caramelized orange slice on top.

By the time dessert rolled around most patrons were adequately loosened up from the now four different cocktails they'd consumed in the past hour. To finish off the boozy meal diners nibbled on a chocolate mousse crunch cake with a wild berry coulis. The after-dinner drink of choice was an Elit chocolate-infused espresso martini.
