Things aren't getting any easier for Chad Johnson. Of course, that's what happens when you allegedly batter your wife.

Following his arrest this weekend and subsequent dismissal from the Miami Dolphins, VH1 has announced it plans to pull the plug on Johnson's upcoming reality show.

"Due to the unfortunate events over the weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series Ev and Ocho from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it," the network said in a statement.

Johnson's new wife, Evelyn Lozada, who was formerly engaged to former Miami Heat star Antoine Walker, starred on the network's Basketball Wives. Johnson, a reality TV veteran in his own right, began dating Lozada and their courtship was broadcast on the show. The pair's July wedding was filmed for the planned spinoff.

Now Johnson has found himself in a giant mess after he allegedly head-butted Lozada Saturday night. The argument began after Lozada found a receipt for condoms in his car.

Johnson was quickly cut from the Dolphins, which also means he's off of HBO's Hard Knocks as well. However, the next episode will address the controversy.
