Is LeBron James planning on packing up those talents and sending them first class back home to Cleveland? Rumors are swirling that the Cleveland Cavaliers are eager to target their old star in 2014 when James has the option to be a free agent again, On ESPN this morning, Chris Broussard said he wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

The rumor started innocuously enough. In a trade deadline article in The Akron Beacon Journal, reporter Jason Lloyd dropped this little nugget:

Executives and agents around the league are convinced the Cavaliers won't do anything to jeopardize their ability to sign a free agent to a max contract during the summer of 2014, when LeBron James can again become a free agent. As fans in Northeast Ohio continue to howl and remain divided about the possibility of his return, more and more people around the league believe there is a strong possibility James will indeed return to Cleveland after next season.
Then Broussard dropped this on SportsCenter today:
"I haven't spoken to LeBron, but I think there's a good chance he goes back to Cleveland in 2014.

Don't be surprised. LeBron James loves Northeast Ohio, still lives there in the summer and would love to make it right with that region.

I think there's a good chance he goes back and I said this when he first left: 'Don't be surprised if LeBron James returns to Cleveland.'

I'm telling you, 'Don't be surprised.'"

The rumors come in tandem with whispers that the situation in the Miami Heat locker room is pretty tense right now during their current road-game slog.

"The Heat are out of focus and they're sniping," writes ESPN's Brian Windhorst. "At their coach, Erik Spoelstra. At each other. Probably at their friends and loved ones, too."

Let's remember a few things right now:

1. No one ever really knows what the hell LeBron James is ever going to do. Most people in the press didn't actually think he'd end up in Miami until a day before it happened.

2. But people sure do love finding excuses to talk about LeBron James and pretend they think they know what the hell he is going to do.

3. The summer of 2014 is 18 months from now.

4. The Cavaliers are not in any better shape to win a championship, even with LeBron, than they were the last time he was there.
