Every weekend the local professional and college level football player-type people assemble on the field to play their games. The most magnificent thing about Tony Sparano is no longer that his name sounds like Tony Soprano, but rather that he's managed to turn these Miami Dolphins into a winning team. Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks @ the FIU Golden Panthers, Saturday 7:00 pm

FIU President Modesto Maidique announced his resignation today. He served in that position longer than most of the team has been alive. What has that got to do with football? IDK. I stopped pretending like I follow FIU weeks ago. They have a better record than these Warhawk characters, so fingers crossed. Do it for Maidique, FIU, do it for Maidique.
