Riptide used to live four blocks from the office and still sometimes drove to work just to sit in front of a computer. LeBron James lives in Coconut Grove and bikes to the American Airlines Arena for most home games, and then plays 40-plus minutes of high intensity basketball. Riptide feels like an asshole.

James, meanwhile, is a man who can afford any single car he wants, and still relies on his two wheels for workday transportation.

He used to only occasionally bike to practice, but it's become more or less the norm this season. In fact, the bike ride has become part of his conditioning routine.

"I felt great," James told the Sun-Sentinel. "I didn't get tired. I don't think I got tired (Tuesday) night. I felt great. I could have played again if we had to. Yeah, I've been biking a little more than usual. It's fun. It's also conditioning, it's cardio."

In fact, he even made the 30- to 45-minute trip four times last Saturday; riding back and forth to practice, and then back again to a game before finally heading home.

Of course, this should hopefully make Miami's notoriously bad drivers pay attention for cyclists on the road. That could be our star athlete you're about to run over.
