Dude, you know you can get your parking validated at the Barnes & Noble, right?
Juan Felipe Rodriguez, 19, turned himself into police late last night, after allegedly stabbing Sunset Place parking attendant Jimmy Richard Womble, 23, after arguing over an $8 parking fee.
While exiting the parking garage in his black pickup truck sometime on Tuesday afternoon, Rodriguez began arguing with Womble over the fee. According to The Miami Herald, a woman in the backseat of the truck then rolled her window down as if to offer money. However, as Womble was walking towards the truck, Rodriguez lunged from his seat and stabbed the parking attendant twice.
Rodriguez then drove the truck through the lowered barricade of the parking garage.
Womble was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Rodriguez turned himself into a South Miami police station just before midnight last night. He was accompanied by his father. He now faces two charges of aggravated battery.
"It's ridiculous. You're talking about a parking dispute where you're calling it about a couple of dollars," South Miami Police Major Rene Landa told WSVN.
"It's sad that this has happened over something so stupid."
