Needless to say this weekend we were sun deprived. Continuous overcast and light rainfall plagued South Florida keeping us wanting to stay indoors . Still, plenty events went on as planned despite the rainy weekend, so here are some of things you missed over the weekend:
Fashion Week Miami Beach
The Magic City flexed its fashion muscles with Funkshion's Fashion Week Miami Beach. The event feature runway shows by Vanidades, Bejeweled Swimwear, Go Red For Women campaign, Kurru Kurru, Ever After, Dragana Ognjenovic and Richie Rich -- just to name a few.
EliteXC Heat at BankAtlantic Center
Kimbo Slice went down after 12 seconds! And he didn't even lose to his scheduled opponent Ken Shamrock. He lost to replacement fighter Seth Petruzelli. Many are saying this is the end of Slice's career. While we aren't exactly sure that's true, we still had plenty of other action to focus on at Saturday's EliteXC event.

Jay-Z at Bayfront Park
Leave it to Jay-Z to decide "99 Problems" to a certain under-qualified vice presidential candidate who would be a heartbeat away from being president if her running mate wins. Sunday night, Hov showed up at downtown's Bayfront Park to encourage young South Florida voters to register to vote and participate in their civic duty come Election Day.
