Beware: cargo shorts are such an absolute scourge on men's fashion that not even Michael Jordan can get away with wearing cargo shorts anymore. And he's Michael Jordan!

MJ just got kicked out of Miami Beach's fancy-pants (and we mean that quite literally) La Gorce Country Club for breaking their dress code by wearing cargo shorts on the golf course. And while that sounds stingy and elitist, may we remind you that Michael Jordan is a 49-year-old multi-millionaire who should not be wearing shorts made popular by frat boys who shopped at Abercrombie circa 2002.

Here's the dirt from Page Six:

Jordan's multipocketed pants were apparently against the dress code that, sources say, dictates that members and guests must be attired in a collared shirt and Bermuda shorts. But when 6-foot, 6-inch Jordan was offered a chance to change outfits, he demurred. "He was given the chance to change but he didn't want to," a source said. The source added that Jordan, who was enjoying a round at the club with one of its members, played on anyway. The source added that members complained about Jordan breaking the rules and, "He won't be invited back."
A rep for Jordan tells the gossip page that His Airness regularly wore cargo shorts at the club and was never told not to. He was apparently only informed of the violation when he was already on the 12th hole, and refused to drop his game and go change into some Bermuda shorts.

On one hand, how snotty can you be to interrupt a man's golf game to tell him you don't like his shorts?

On the other hand, cargo shorts are disgusting and no one should dress like the entire world is their own personal Gainesville frat house.
