Halloween's just a few weeks away, and already our calendar is filling up with costume parties, monster-themed pub crawls and 5Ks, and plenty of other local tricks and treats. October 31 falls on a Wednesday this year, which might mean that Halloween itself is a bit more low-key for the nine-to-fivers among you. But it also means that technically, you have two weekends to celebrate.

Ongoing:
House of Horror haunted house at Miami International Mall. Runs through Oct. 31. Tickets cost $15 - $23. Visit houseofhorrorpark.com.

Dr. Wilde's Screamatorium at Zoo Miami (12400 SW 152nd Street, Miami) runs through Oct. 30. Parental discretion is advised (so no, it's not as kid-friendly as the rest of the zoo). 8p.m. to midnight. Admission is $5. Visit miamimetrozoo.com.

The Halls of Terror at Super Wheels runs Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 27, plus Oct. 28, 30, and 31. 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission costs $13. Visit thehallsofterror.com.

Haunted Mansion Tours at Curtiss Mansion run Oct. 25-31. Tours start at 8 p.m. and the cost to enter is $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Visit curtissmansionblog.com.

The Vampire Circus at Bayfront Park, running Oct. 18-31, is, naturally, a vampire-themed circus show. Tickets cost $20-$100 and showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Visit thevampirecircus.us.

Sleep Tight, "a Spanish treat for Halloween," is a Spanish film playing at Tower Theater Oct. 26 - Nov. 1. Tickets cost $10. Visit towertheatermiami.com.

South Florida Zombie Crawl: Roam the Shops at Midtown dressed in zombie gear to score food and drink specials. 6 p.m., SouthFloridaZombieCrawl.com.

Oct. 21
Not So Scary Family Halloween Bash: A kid-friendly spookfest at Miami Children's Museum with a mad scientist lab, costume parade, and more. 1 p.m. - 6 p.m., miamichildrensmuseum.org/halloween.

Oct. 23
I'm Not Gonna Move to LA's Halloween Edition film club meetup meets at O Cinema at 6:30pm for spooky screenings. Admission costs $8-$13. Visit o-cinema.org.

Oct. 24
The Haunted Jaunt: A Halloween street party in Coral Gables at Ponce Circle Park. $10 - $30. 5 p.m. - 11 p.m., facebook.com/hauntedjaunt.

Oct. 27
Celebrate Halloween: Stories, songs, and activities for kids at the Coconut Grove Library. Free. 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., mdpls.org.

Halloween Spooktacular: Jungle Island's annual freaky fete. 10am - 6pm, jungleisland.com.

ZMBLND 5K takes over Amelia Earhart Park with a race that lets participants choose to be survivors or the zombies hunting them. The hunt begins at 8 a.m. Registration fees run $20 - $70.00. Visit zmblnd.com.

Oct. 31
Halloween Pub Crawl Miami kicks off at Dal Toro, where you'll first register then tag along to the participating bars all throughout South Beach. Drink specials include $4 draft beers and two-for-one cocktails. The crawling begins at 5p.m. and tickets start at $10. Visit pubcrawls.com.

Shoot Halloween invites photographers to capture Lincoln Road madness on Halloween night for prizes of $500. Entry costs $25. Visit fotomission.org.

Halloween at Bayside, with trick-or-treating, live music and prizes for children in costume. 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Third Annual Doggie Costume Contest at the Coral Gables Museum is free to watch, $5 to enter, and yes, it'll basically be like the Internet's most hilarious memes have come to life before your very eyes. Visit shopgables.com.
