It seems Miami dedicates a month to celebrate just about anything: we've got Miami Museum Month in May, Miami Spa Month in July and August, and even Miami Spice, which spans two months in August and September.
As it turns out, March is dedicated to one of the oldest and most fabulous of pastimes: shopping.
During Miami Shopping Month, organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, there are various malls and retailers offering attractive promotions and free gift incentives. Although there's only one week left in the month, there's still plenty of time to get your shopping on, so we've neatly categorized some offers for you.

The Gift Cards
If you're going to spend the mula, it's nice to get a little mula back - even if it is in the form of a gift card (which will then require you to spend more mula; alas, the never-ending cycle).
The Falls: if you spend $250 or more anywhere at The Falls, you will receive one $25 gift card from your choice of: Brooks Brothers, Cartoon Cuts, the Gap, Luggage & More, P.F. Chang's, or Polaroid Fotobar, plus one pilsner glass and Pizookie voucher from BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse.Tommy Bahama: receive a $50 "award card" after you spend $500 or more at either the Dadeland Mall or Village of Merrick Park stores.
Wacoal: spend $500 at their Dolphin Mall store and get yourself a neat $50 gift card.
The Free Totes
After you've spent all that money and bought yourself all those new pretty things, have a new tote to carry it all in.
Bayside Marketplace: for spending $100 or more anywhere in the mall, you can get your very own Bayside Nylon Tote.Dolphin Mall: present your same-day receipts totaling $350 or more and get a "Live Life" bag, and a meal voucher to Mojito's.
Bloomingdales: at either the Aventura or The Falls location, spend $500 or more and receive a signature tote and umbrella set.
The Mysterious Free Gifts "Valued up to $25"
Sure, you have to spend hundreds of dollars in one day in order to get back a little something-something with the potential to be valued at $25. Here's hoping it's a gift card.
Dadeland Mall: spend $350 or more anywhere in the mall and you can receive a "gift valued up to $25."Miami International Mall: same deal applies for this Simon mall: spend $350 or more anywhere in the mall and you can receive a "gift valued up to $25."
Mary Brickell Village: this mall gives you a little more bang for that buck: spend $300 or more and receive a mysterious gift "valued up to $50."
