Just when you thought Florida had enough problems, here's a new one for the new year: The Kardashians are back.
Well, one of them, anyway. Reports surfaced this week that Rob Kardashian, brother to the uber-famous trio of sisters including Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney, is now a Sunshine State resident.
Tabloids including Star and InTouch Weekly say Rob has moved to the East Coast to escape the pressures of being, well, related to his family:
"He finally realized he needs to focus on himself and not do things the way his sisters do. He feels he needs a clean break," a source told InTouch. "Rob feels like his family can't see anything beyond the spotlight, but he wants more for himself than fame."
That's right, Kardashians. Rob has bigger dreams. Like designing socks.
Okay, that's maybe a little harsh. Times have been tough for the male Kardashian, what with the breakup of his mother's marriage to Bruce Jenner, the crazy, allegedly drug-fueled drama in his sister Khloe's union to Lamar Odom, and his own relationship issues with pop star Rita Ora, which featured in the Miami-set series Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. Dude's apparently responded to all this stress by eating everything in sight; InTouch reports he's packed on 60 pounds, which could explain why nobody noticed he was hanging out in Florida for the past three months.
There's also the possibility that Rob has moved to Florida to be near his secret love child, which would be too soapy to be true if we were talking about anyone but a Kardashian.
Still, we're calling B.S. If moving away from the rest of his family in L.A. was an attempt to break away from all the crazy, maybe Rob should've gone, well, anywhere but Florida. Not only do Kardashians visit Miami all the damn time, but also: it's Florida. There is nothing even remotely normal about this state.
