While still relatively unknown in the States, Portuguese DJ/producer Carlos Fauvrelle is renowned through the Iberian peninsula, a region increasingly associated with the tribal house genre (see Chus & Ceballos, Mastiksoul, etc.) Fauvrelle has been crafting his own percussive-driven brand of tech house since the early 2000s, releases of which have made it out on the reputable Choo Choo, Sondos and Twisted imprints and garnered top slots on the Billboard charts. He has since launched his own Lajja Recordings label, with producer Frank Maurel, and continues to command dancefloors around the world with his energetic DJ sets. Fauvrelle will be spinning at Mansion this Saturday night, where he is sure to gain more than a few new converts banging out those tribal rhythms that Miamians so adore.
