Anyone who's ever caught Suenalo performing live at Transit Lounge would understand immediately why vocalist Amin de Jesus says, "Playing at Transit is one of my guilty pleasures." Suenalo, of course, are pioneers of Miami's fusion sound, that inimitable melding of various styles both Latin and American to form sumptuous grooves. And they truly kill it every time their monthly residency brings them back to the venerable South Miami Avenue watering hole and live music haunt.
"The sound, by Mr. Everett Ramey, is always impeccable," explains de Jesus. "He is a true artist and it's one of the only places that encourages, and can handle our atmospheric technician (lighting guy), Scotty O'Connor, who has been in Suenalo longer than i have!".
Suenalo. 11 p.m. Saturday, August 28. Transit Lounge, 729 SW 1st Ave., Miami. Admission is free; age 21 and up. 305-377-4628; transitlounge.us
