RAC. Thursday, February 2, at Bardot, 3456 N Miami Ave., Miami; 305-567-5570; bardotmiami.com. Tickets cost $17 to $20 plus fees via showclix.com. Ages 21 and up. It's another fun edition of Bardot's Living Room Sessions. RAC is returning to the carpet for an intimate night of indie remix swagger that's sure to have you dancing the night away. His style is smooth and nostalgic, some hipster jams at their best. Come classy and get sassy. But not too sassy ... No one wants to hold your hair back later.
Tiki Freaky Surf Rock Night. With Jensen Serf Co., Beach Day, Girls on the Beach, and the Gun Hoes. 10 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE Second Ave., Miami; 305-575-1807; churchillspub.com. Cover costs $5. Churchill's is kicking the new year off (wait, aren't we a whole month into this thing?) with a special set of supergroovy beach jams. Who doesn't like to get down to the soulful sounds of '60s-inspired jangles? With acts from all over the state coming down for this sunny fun fest, you should try to make space in your schedule too.
The Electric Pickle Fourth Anniversary Party, Pt. 2 With Blood Orange and Wolf + Lamb. 9 p.m. Friday, February 1, at Electric Pickle, 2826 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-450-3809; electricpicklemiami.com. Tickets cost $20 plus fees via residentadvisor.com. Do you really love Prince when he chills the fuck out? Then you're going to adore Blood Orange, if you don't already. We're sure you're very hip with the scene. This New York-based music man has produced tracks for Basement Jaxx, Florence and the Machine, Theophilus London, and others. You can catch him live with Wolf + Lamb, and celebrate Electric Pickle at the same damn time!
Filmgate Kickoff Party. With Kodiak Fur and Tusk. 10 p.m. Friday, February 1, at The Vagabond, 30 NE 14th St., Miami; 305-379-0508; thevagabondmiami.com. Get stoked about the debut of Kodiak Fur, a brand-spanking-new Miami dreamwave outfit that just released its first EP. Quite the awesome soundscape, but this sort of thing always sounds more luscious live. Plus, a fun opening set from Tusk. Plus plus, $1 PBRs and $5 vodkas until midnight. Get wastey and spacey at the same damn time.
Lee Boys Album-Release Party. With Zach Deputy. 10 p.m. Saturday, February 2, at The Stage, 170 NE 38th St., Miami; 305-576-9577; thestagemiami.com. Tickets cost $10 via completeticketsolutions.com or $15 at the door. Ages 21 and up. The Lee Boys are a local Miami crew made up of brothers with a love for music in their blood. They've been making a hot blend of gospel and blues they call "sacred steel" for years. Of course, the steel guitar is a big element of their sound, and they'll be bringing the funk in high doses this Saturday. It's also exciting to catch a special guest performance by South Carolina's funky and fresh-faced Zach Deputy.
