The PL0T folks are doing it again this Friday night with a double booking of DJ sets by Seth Troxler and Lee Curtiss at the Electric Pickle. Troxler and Curtiss are part of a new generation of young Detroit-bred DJ/producers who took their underground dance music sensibilities across the Atlantic to Berlin in the 2000's and joined that city's burgeoning expatriate community of minimal heads.

Seth Troxler started spinning records in Detroit clubs as a teenager and eventually migrated to Berlin, where he has played at some of the city's top venues, including Fabric, Watergate, and a residency at the legendary Club der Visionare. Troxler's deep and atmospheric production stylings have been released on such labels as Spectral Sound, Wagon Repair, and Crosstown Rebels, and featured on Fabric and Get Physical compilation mixes.

Lee Curtiss grew up in Michigan, between Chicago and Detroit, where he absorbed the early sounds of house and techno coming out of these respective cities, and where he honed his own brand of primal and deep minimal dance music. With releases on the Spectral Sound and Wolf + Lamb labels and an extensive American and European touring schedule, Curtiss continues to hijack dancefloors around the world with the uncompromising groove of his sets.

As old buddies, Troxler and Curtiss used to throw the infamous Tesh Club parties in Detroit, and as Visionquest (with Ryan Crosson) they currently host the annual Need I Say More afterhours party for the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. Miami is doubtlessly in for a night of raunchy minimal goodness with these two dancefloor specialists in tow. Check out Seth Troxler and Lee Curtiss along with PL0T resident DJ Alejandro Sab this Friday night at the Electric Pickle.

Seth Troxler and Lee Curtiss at Electric Pickle, Friday, June 6, 10 p.m.-5 a.m. 2826 N Miami Ave., Miami.
