For the last five months, the local 305 division of the Trece army has been stuck on high alert, awaiting the arrival of its commander-in-chief René Pérez Joglar, AKA Residente, and sergeant-at-arms Eduardo José Cabra Martínez, AKA Visitante.

It all started on April 7 when Crossfade relayed a Calle 13 communiqué announcing the first 11 shows of the Puerto Rican duo's Entren los Que Quieran US tour, including a planned May 27 show in Miami. We immediately began ranting about stuff like sonic warfare, outright social rebellion, and guerrilla street warriors.

But this urgent call to arms turned out to be premature. And 25 days later, it was officially confirmed that all Trece operations in the MIA would be indefinitely delayed.

Three weeks passed. We heard nothing. And then Crossfade suddenly received word on May 26 that Resi and Visi's South Florida invasion was back on, rescheduled for September 24 at the BankUnited Center. But now that show's been canceled, rescheduled, and relocated too.

According to the Rogers & Cowan agency, Calle 13's program of sonic warfare and outright social rebellion will definitely, undoubtedly, finally land in Miami on Saturday, October 15, at the Plaza at the American Airlines Arena.

And while the plan of attack is unlikely to change again, keep it locked to Crossfade, guerrillas.

Calle 13. Saturday, October 15. The Plaza at the American Airlines Arena, 601 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. The invasion starts at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $36.50 via ticketmaster.com. Call 786-777-1000 or visit aaarena.com.
