A trip to Miami is always a vacation. Unless you're in a rock band.
"The last time we played your town," the ladies of Atlanta indie punk crew The Coathangers lament, "we didn't really get to go 'round anywhere!"

It was 2011 and they rode into the Magic City as part of Hunx and His Punx's cheeky rock 'n' roll cavalcade. There were tasty drinks courtesy of Sailor Jerry Rum. And the local openers were Miami's Lil Daggers dudes.
Sounds like lots of fun. But apparently, it was all business.
"We had to load out. Then play. Load up. Then leave. And we didn't get lucky enough to just hang out."
Fortuitously, though, "after this week's gig [at Will Call]," the ladies cheer, "we've got a day off in Miami!
"So hopefully, we'll get to explore."
And what exactly will be Coathangers' first order of post-show business? "We wanna go to the beach! Really bad!"
And next order of business? "Get an airbrushed t-shirt!"
Now that sounds like a vacay. Even if you're in a rock band.
