Paco Osuna's musical journey began like that of most aspiring young producers, making tracks and cutting his teeth on the decks as a teen in the '90s, before his international career got jump-started when he earned a residency at the legendary club Amnesia in Ibiza, and subsequently joined the roster of Sven Väth's prestigious Cocoon agency.

But not one to limit himself to the creative constraints of a third party's label, Osuna launched his own Shake Records in 2003, followed by sister imprint Mindshake in 2006, setting forth his own brand of forward-thinking techno. For the latter he enlisted a team of talented artists, including Skoozbot, Ambivalent, Paul Ritch, Matteo Spedicatti and Andrea Ferlin, and garnered enough serious worldwide acclaim to get invited onboard the opening and residency of Barcelona's Club 4, a venue which now caters to that city's vanguard electronic dance music scene.

Fast forward to 2009 and Osuna is one of the most highly sought-after Spanish techno DJ/producers, boasting a couple of releases on Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 label and a hectic global touring schedule that includes appearances at the Winter Music Conference and Detroit Electronic Music Conference. Miami will get a dose of Paco Osuna's acclaimed minimal techno sound at Fierce Angel nightclub on Friday night where he'll be spinning along with Soultech resident DJ Andres Amadeus.

Paco Osuna at Fierce Angel, Friday, September 4, 10 p.m.-5 a.m. 1200 Washington Ave., Miami Beach.
