Sashay, pop, flossy — show ‘em what you’re working with. Catwalk: A Night of Vogue is kicking off its sixth year with a party at 1306. Hosted with Miami’s beloved drag house the House of Lords, the February 9 edition of Catwalk will feature some familiar names, such as founders and event organizers Adrianna Moschides (Gooddroid) and Brenda Bonnie (Bonnie Beats), who will spin at the event.

Moschides and Bonnie started the party, originally held at the Garret at Grand Central, in 2013. Fast-forward a handful of years and several venues, and the pair has found a new home at 1306. “The folks at 1306 have always been extremely supportive of us all these years,” Moschides says.

“We’re very thankful for them and the space. After Grand Central closed, which I'm still somehow sad about, we were all over the place,” the Brooklyn-native DJ adds. “We're happy to have a place to call home now.”

The night of vogue will include fierce competition. Categories are open to all guests and include vogue performance, runway, realness, bizarre, face, and virgin vogue. And, yes, competitors can win cash prizes.

It's called voguing.

The party will start with Gami Mami’s DJ set, continue with Bonnie Beats, and conclude with Moschides as her alter ego Gooddroids behind the decks. Expect a totally fabulous roll call of legends, statements, and stars — or as Moschides puts it, "LSS" — followed by the open-to-all categories and ending with a vogue performance.

“When we first started the event in 2013, we were trying to shed some light on Florida's underground ballroom scene, and it went way better than expected,” Moschides reminisces.

Since Moschides moved back to her home state of New York in 2015, Catwalk: A Night of Vogue has happened less frequently in Miami. The event was down to twice a year — once in the summer and once in the fall. But, in Moschides’ own words, they’re starting the party early this year in February because "Why the hell not?" And although she can’t share details yet, she promises, “Catwalk has something big in the works for June. Stay tuned!”

Catwalk: A Night of Vogue. 11 p.m. Saturday, February 9, at 1306, 1306 N. Miami Ave., Miami; facebook.com/catwalknyc. Admission costs $10 cash at the door. Ages 18 and up.
