Just a small town girl. Living in a lonely world. She took the midnight train going anywhere. Just a city boy...Don't stop believing. Despite the fact that your hair band days are now 20 years behind you, you can cling to your Freebirding glory days with the touring arena-rock love story Rock of Ages. And we're giving away four free tickets to the opening night performance on December 28 at the Broward Center of the Performing Arts.

Is this a total cheese fest? Perhaps. But that's why it may be awesome. The cast covers REO Speedwagon's "Can't Fight This Feeling" as a gay anthem, have passed out six-packs of Coors Light and wine coolers at other performances, and describe their renditions of Whitesnake and Twisted Sister hits as "face-melting." Read on for details on how to get to your own mug melted off by guitar solos.

To win tickets to Rock of Ages, which the Village Voice called "goofier

than Spamalot, stranger than Passing Strange, more transgressive than

Rent," leave a comment with your all-time

favorite hair-band hit on our Facebook page. We'll pick a winner at random by December 24 at 5 p.m. You must be able to pick up the tickets from the New Times office during business hours on December 27 or 28. Good luck.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
