Here's the United States weather forecast today: It's raining in Las Vegas, 44 degrees in Chicago, and the East Coast is about to be hit by a snow storm.

Now look outside, kids. It's 77 and sunny. Yeah, this is a pretty great place to live.

So instead of leaving the 305, how about you enjoy yourself a little staycation? And while you're at it, why not do it at the W South Beach for free? If you're one of 25 lucky folks to book a room at the resort this afternoon, you could get the whole thing comped.

The W is giving Cultist readers the chance to win a free weekend at the super-luxurious resort. The best part? You check in tomorrow.

All you have to do is call 305-938-3019 and say that you are calling regarding the free stay. The first 25 people who call to make reservations for this weekend will be entered into a drawing to have their room comped -- meaning you'll have a one-in-25 shot at getting your stay for free. The downside, of course, is that if you're one of the unlucky 24, you're on the hook for your room.

So that leaves us with just one question: Are you feeling lucky?

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
