Miami Spice isn’t the only culinary game in town this summer, and with the rise of killer cuisine in South Florida’s City Beautiful, Coral Gables’ Restaurant Week is prime time for foodies to venture away from South Beach and midtown and into new territory.
This Monday through June 29, 35 local restaurants will offer special three-course menus for lunch and dinner. And Taste of the Gables is the hors d’oeuvre to restaurant week’s mega main course.
At this nighttime soiree, attendees can nibble through a sea of amuse-bouches from 20 local restaurants, from Angelique Euro Cafe to La Taberna Giralda to Uvaggio Restaurant & Wine Bar. Think hush puppies with deviled crab from Swine Southern Table & Bar, sliced filet with mac ’n’ cheese from Fleming’s, and yellowtail taquitos from SushiSabma. Plus, there’ll be Bacardi Cuba Libres and Martini’s Prosecco, so maybe opt for a designated driver.
Attendees can also cast a vote for “Best Taste of the Gables,” so let those chefs woo you like so many suitors.
