Upper Eastside Pit Stop

Remember when indie dance parties were low-key affairs with cheap drinks, a lax door policy, and great music? Luckily for us, there are people looking to bring that back. Nightdrive started at the News Lounge but never seemed to gain the popularity it deserved. It was a Thursday-night party with no frills, great local DJs, and decent drink specials. But at some point, the bash seemed to run out of gas. Or so we thought. The fete has re-emerged Thursdays at the American Legion. It's an odd choice of venue for a party such as this, but with some of the cheapest drinks in Miami-Dade, who cares? The night promises $2 drafts, $6 pitchers, and $3.50 wells. If that isn't reason enough, Mike Deuce, Jonathan Brody, and DJPJ man the decks every week. The party goes from 10 p.m. till 5 a.m., with no cover all night long.
