Hey, did you know that this is the first weekend of fall? There'll be no need for that knit sweater and no pumpkin patch tours to speak of, but YES it's fall! Let's do autumn Miami-style and revel in the months ahead which will hopefully be filled with low(er) humidity and smaller patches of underarm sweat. And we'll call it faux fall. Yes, and faux fall is beginning with a Friday full of all types of live music. Party with the Postelles at Club 50, try to feel irie with reggae courtesy of Eyenity at Gordon Biersch, or blow faux-Fall all the way the fuck out with the Colossal Music Festival at Tobacco Road. And don't forget that MoCA's highly aniticipated Pivot Points Part 3 starts tonight and will def be the hottest cultural ticket in town. Faux yeah.

And here for Sunday's.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
