Out with the old boobs and in with the new... chins?
According to the latest studies, chin augmentation surgery is the fastest-growing plastic surgery, with over a 71% increase in the last two years. In other words, it's surging in popularity faster than getting injected with wrinkle-reducing Botox, going under the knife for big ol' fake boobies, and fat-sucking lipsuction — combined. Suck it, lipo! (Har.)
More and more people are going under the knife than ever before for a little added assistance in keeping their chins up.The most popular age group? The 55+ crowd. Senior citizens. Looks like grandma's hip replacement isn't the only upgrade she's gotten lately.
We had no idea Hollywood chins were in such high demand. But it makes perfect sense when you think about it. Chins should be firm, and supple. Not too small, but also not too big. Perky, even. Take a look at these famous chins of the stars and you'll see what we mean.
Johansson wallowed on the Hollywood B-list in films like Ghost World — until she started showing off that spectacular chin of hers. Now, hers is one of the most talked-about chins in the business. We're pretty sure it's what keeps Woody Allen interested, anyway.
