Lewis Black is that one uncle who comes over for Thanksgiving and ends up turning a conversation about gravy into the delusional behaviors of American consumerism. He’s the same uncle who probably sits in the corner while sipping a glass of Scotch, mumbling at the Thanksgiving football game, and eventually ranting about the messed-up decisions Congress has made since the last election. But he’s also your favorite uncle, the one who gives the most insightful and honest advice. Show your love when your uncle visits the Fillmore Miami Beach (1700 Washington Ave, Miami Beach) Friday at 8 p.m. Black is best known for his “Back in Black” appearances on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, where he periodically tears apart the American political system with an intrusive jabbing of his index finger and a loud voice that shakes his entire person, as well as any audience member’s concept of reality. Beyond that, he’s also an incredibly charitable man — a trait best seen in his perspective about poverty — and was most recently featured in the documentary Comedy Warriors. Tickets cost $39.50 to $75. Call 305-673-7300 or visit fillmoremb.com.
