Attention, boozehounds: We’re here to tell you about an event called New Times Beerfest. The name alone is reason enough to attend.
What gives New Times the right to give this event the same name as every beer drinker’s favorite movie? How about this: Attendees at this annual fete will get to sip more than 100 varieties of suds from some of the country’s best breweries. Think Cigar City, Magic Hat, Blue Point, Brooklyn Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing, and Most Wanted — among dozens of others. (There’ll be PBR too, for your predictable hipster bros.)
Beerfest also supports the burgeoning home-brewer’s movement with the Homebrewer’s Alley, an addition this year. There, you can chat with South Florida’s brew masters and sample their labors of love.
Plus, you’ll get to watch college basketball action, listen to live music, play games, and nosh on food from local eateries. Kind of the perfect evening, right? Yeah, we’ll see you there.
