Experiencing winter in Miami is as unlikely as running into a giant, magical, ice-skating rodent. But the odds of the latter encounter will be pretty good tonight, when Disney on Ice skates into the American Airlines Arena. Couture designer Rene Ruiz and a few Disney characters will host an invitiation-only ceremony, at which they will announce the winner of the Incredible Costume Design Contest. Then at 7:30 Edna Modes costumes will steal the spotlight when Disney/Pixars The Incredibles take A Disneyland Adventure through a winterland transposition of the theme parks attractions. Reasons to attend? This Adventure will be cheaper than taking the kids to the actual theme park, and makes for a pretty cute date night. Hey, even if youre single, an evening with Mickey and Minnie beats stuffing yourself with a carton of ice cream and sulking over a box of tissues.
Fri., March 30, 7:30 p.m.
