OK, so it's no secret that Miami is not New York when it comes to fashion. But when Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim comes upon us and the limelight is on our city, we run it.
Yes, even after all the talk of Miami's fashion inanity, Miami can dress to impress. Once in a while (we beg for it to happen more often), the people who do have what it takes leave their homes and comfort zones to show the nation what we've got. After all, who better than Miamians to rock a summer wardrobe? A little humidity and come rainfall don't scare us. We're all game.

Now, to redeem ourselves, we present ten of the best looks at Swim Week 2014:
Who said you couldn't piece together an entire neon outfit and make it look good? The red lipstick blocks the entire ensemble nicely. But really, did she think fashion week was in complete darkness and felt the need to glow? Anyhow, this look epitomizes street fashion.
Was this guy indecisive about what color jacket to wear? Doesn't matter -- we love it. The color-block jacket fit in perfectly for Swim Week -- not too formal yet not too casual. And the man clutch is on point -- subtle and classy.
Who is this dude and how can we wear a one-piece as well as he does? Seriously. The cropped, tribal-print jacket nicely juxtaposes his long, toned legs -- legs that would make even the tallest Swim Week model jealous. We're digging that choker on him too. Sir, whoever you are, please reveal yourself and how you pulled off this one.
Alexia Echevarria, you've made it. You're not just a Real Housewife of Miami anymore. You have the right to wear a leather cropped top that accentuates your bust -- a lot. And you also have the right to wear a printed pencil skirt that highlights the curves on your behind. No, really, you look good.
With that web-looking thing and the red and black sneaks, this fashionista is channeling Spider-Man. We just hope she doesn't wear that top in the sun, or she'll have geometric-shaped tan lines for the rest of the summer.
Ladies and gentlemen, we present to you the Little Mermaid on land. This jumpsuit fits wonderfully, from the low v-neck to the toes; it's not too tight. She could have gone very wrong and paired the suit with eight-inch heels plus a load of jewelry. But we appreciate the modern, chic mermaid look with the thick choker and the pulled-back hair. Whatever that is on her forehead, it works for her.
This look screams Miami, and it's done well. South Florida is all about vibrant colors, short lengths, and pulled-back hair (all because of the damn humidity). Plus, we're enjoying the varying tones of blue on the romper, necklace, and sunglasses.
This chick proves you don't need to wear some out-of-this-world ensemble to look good during Fashion Week. Her kick-ass hair does the job for her. Her crisp white button-up, cuffed jeans, and neon-green heels aren't hurting, though. We can't even criticize her lack of accessories. Work it, girl!
Go on, London Boy, show off your stomach like many men can't. Rock that cropped tee like most women can't. And the leather short shorts are the icing on the cake. The only thing we'd change are those boots. Are you going hiking later?
This is a fierce male duo, and they make us want to be their friends. Who else can wear a plaid suit with bermudas and espradilles and look as good as the dude on the right? Not to mention wearing all blue while staying classy and without drifting into Smurf territory, like our guy on the left. Y'all look summertime fine.
